What’s more romantic than two young lovebirds saying “I do” with the backdrop of Stewart Park in Perth, surrounded by their closest friends and family? Finish off the day with their first dance as husband and wife outside under the glow of stars and twinkle lights, Martha & Cole’s wedding was a delight to film!
Martha & Cole’s wedding was hosted at the Perth Parkside Inn and Spa (the same building as The Locks restaurant). The staff was super accommodating and friendly – at the end of the night as I was packing up, I forget a cover and they ran after me to tell me. Friendly and professional staff at your wedding venue makes all the difference! Since weddings are (simply put) events with lots of moving parts, a venue with competent staff that can accommodate a changing timeline with a friendly demeanour is the difference between a stress-full and a stress-free wedding reception.
If you want my honest opinion on the location/venue; I loved it. When couples look at wedding venues, a big deciding factor is the photoshoot location onsite. With the Parkside Inn & Spa literally backing out unto Stewart Park, photo spots don’t get much better. You have everything from green grassy open areas, to willow trees, stone buildings, to the absolutely-picturesque red bridge over the creek. Not many locations can boast that much variety within a stroll of the venue!

Although it was a hot + humid August day, one of the perks of having your wedding at Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery is that your venue is set on the lake - that Lake Erie wind feels extra nice on a sunny Saturday!
The upstairs room at Sprucewood is absolutely gorgeous. Being recently renovated gives it that clean and fresh feel, which is exactly the type of room you want to be in minutes before walking down the aisle. Set with several couches, mirrors, and french doors that let you get a breath of fresh air from the balcony, you couldn't ask for much more :)
